How do I get started with KS Status?
Getting started with Status is easy. Sign up for a free trial, explore the application, and start creating sprints, work items, and plans. Our My Work feature makes it easy to work through those items, and you can track your progress using our intuitive Sprint Status and Project Status dashboards.
Can I manage my individual projects without a team?
Yes, Status is designed for both. If you are an indie developer and need a way to track and report your progress, Status is a great tool to ensure your work is clear and actionable.
How does Status compare to Jira?
Status is similar to Jira, as you can create epics, features, user stories, and bugs following a standard Agile approach. However, working through estimating, planning, tasks, and reporting statuses using our proprietary workflow process is significantly different. Sign up for a trial to see the difference.
Can I import my Jira, Azure DevOps, or other project management projects into Status?
Status' design is a substantial departure from all current software project management tools in the marketplace. At this time, the importation of other projects does not fit into the Status work model. We are considering this feature in the future, but for now, we suggest you start new projects in Status or close out open sprint work items in other project management tools and start new sprints in Status. What a significant improvement you will see from one sprint to the next.
How does Status compare to Azure DevOps?
Much like a comparison to Jira, with Azure DevOps, you can create your epics, features, user stories, and bugs following a standard Agile approach. However, working through estimating, planning, tasks, and reporting statuses using our proprietary workflow process is significantly different. Status does not have tight integration with code repositories and pipelines like Azure DevOps and may, in the future, support these features or integrate with large providers like GitHub that have them built.
How do I sign up my users?
Each user who accesses Status must have a seat. Please review the pricing section for cost and user features for more details. Once a user has a seat, they can join multiple project teams. First, acquire your subscription and add more users to your account, or have your project team members purchase their licenses using the sign up option.
Can I run other projects other than software development projects in Status?
We built Status with two primary focuses: evolving agile/scrum and building next-gen software development management software. You can run your other project types with Status if you are using Agile/Scrum, but be aware that we include a software development focus into the features we provide. While other software tools want to focus on every type of project, we want the best class experience for software development.
